The following is a list of servants engaged until Christmas next at
Trinity-in the fall of 1830:
John Haiters, a cruiser, for 1 pound 5 shillings.
Richard Hiscock, Jr., as cruiser for 1 pound 5
shillings.
Edward Eagan, as master if the Swallow, 2 pounds
20 shillings per month and half a mans share of seals and a chest of
something last spring.
Edward Kieran, as a cruiser, 1 pound 5 shillings
a month.
John Gayhan, as a cruiser, 1 pound 5 shillings a
month and one weight of tea.
John Whelan, ditto, and 1 weight of tea.
Benjamin Pittman, 1 pound 5 shillings wages, one
weight of tea.
At Catalina:
Samuel Coleridge, cooper and store keeper, for 34
pounds and 23 shillings per ten for extra work.
Martha Leonard, as the house servant, 7 pounds.
Joseph Tucker, a lad, 11 pounds.
John Mackey, a common hand, 17 pounds 10.
James Browne, a common hand, 17 pounds.

Jim Pittman- the storekeeper.
Their wages to be the same as last year.
Ann Finch as the housemaid and cook at 11 pounds
currency.
Patrick Barron as a skinner and salter, 17/10,
3/10 less than last year.
Joshua Sheppard fisherman, at 18 pounds, 4 pounds
less than last year.
Will Newhook, a master shipbuilder at 58/, 2
pounds less than last year.
Thomas as a shipwright at 3 pounds ditto per
month for the year, /10 less than last year.
Will Collins as a dock man and joiner at 4 pounds
allowance per month and a weekly allowance.
Will Toope as a skinner and dock man, 17 pounds
wages and ditto weekly allowance, 2 pounds less than last year.
Richard Wheeler, sail maker and whose ship expires in August next,
discharged for drunkeness the 6th of December.

currency and a man’s share of seals.

mans share of seals.
Motus Spurrell, as a farmer and gardener for 1
pound monthly allowance.

list of people engaged for 12 months at Trinity in the fall of 1830:
James Hillm master shoreman and fish sculler,
wages of 29 pounds, 10 pounds less than last year.
James Murphy, cook and the cook crew, for 20
pounds currency, 3 pounds less than last year.
Patrick Fitzgerald, as a splitter, skinner,
salter, and fish culler, at 25 pounds currency, 2 pounds less then
last year.
John Flynn as blacksmith, for 30 pounds, 4 pounds
less than last year.
Richard Maidment as a gardener, 21 pounds, 2
pounds less than last year.
James Chard as a master cooper, 35 pounds wages,
2/10 less than last year.
Will Smith, fisherman and sawyer etc, at 16
pounds, 2 pounds less than last year.
James Lundrigan as a cooper at 25 pounds wages, 5
pounds less than last year.
Robert Firmage, boats master etc. at 22 pounds,
4/10 less than last year.
Lawrence Mullet as the joiner and carpenter at 50
pounds, 10 pounds less than last year.
James Dwyer, a master of the schooner Anna, a
fish culler, fish culling as well, 30 pounds wages in currency and a
half a mans share of seals, 7 pounds less than last year.
