Activities

These activities will allow students to see how different people analyze things differently.

  1. Have students create a diary and make daily entries for a week about things happening in the school and/or the local area.  At the beginning of the following week have the students read to the class their entries.  Once the whole class has done this, discuss how different people in the class noticed different things and viewed the same events from different perspectives.  Also, discuss how the different views of the people writing the diary could change the view of a reader 100 years down the road.

  2. Using Appendix B have students analyze the artifacts in Appendix C. Once complete, discuss the differences of how each of the students viewed and described the artifacts.
